Tucked away in the rolling hills of the western Catskill Mountains lies beautiful Camp Minglewood, home to the Catskill Chill Music Festival.  An intimate event that features top quality music, this festival prides itself on having a big show experience in a more personal setting. Musical appetites are satisfied by diverse line ups, featuring all variety of jam bands, reggae music, funk, jazz, blue grass, electronica, DJs and rock and roll.  Attendees enjoy free camping and parking at this scenic campus while a wide variety of vendors provide food and beverage, as well as merchandise and souvenirs.

The inaugural Catskill Chill Music Festival was a resounding success, with people coming from far and wide to Camp Minglewood to enjoy two great days of music performed by Keller Williams, Soulive, The New Mastersounds, The Easystar Allstars, Particle and many more . Two stages boasted music from early afternoon until 5:00 am for two days, over looking this picturesque lakeside venue.   From the moment the first guitar notes sounded on Friday afternoon until the last encore in the wee hours of Sunday morning , this festival was one to remember.

Catskill Chill 2011 – boasted an expanded schedule lasting for three full days on three stages, beginning in the afternoon on Friday, September 9th and lasting until 3 AM on Monday!  The second annual was headlined by Umphrey’s McGee, Conspirator and the 7 Walkers, featuring Bill Kreutzmann, supported a wide variety of top notch talent, including Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, JGB with Melvin Seals, Perpetual Groove, John Brown’s Body, BoomBox,Zach Deputy, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and many other great bands and DJs.  Hurricanes and floods surrounded the Catskills and the upper Delaware Valley, but the attendees, staff, artists  and vendors weathered the storm in style, thanks to an unwaveringly joyous state of mind and an all-weather facility that can handle anything.

Just west of the Catskill Mountains, Camp Minglewood is a truly ideal festival site. Festival attendees are welcome to free on-site camping, but also have the option of renting cabins for the weekend. Cabins range  from private cabins which sleep two, or large double bunkhouses which sleep 30 people.  Large outdoor pavilions are open walled to let in the fresh autumn air, while they also are roofed to protect the festival goers from rain.  This is a great time a year to head into the country for a peaceful weekend with great music in a truly intimate setting.

In addition to enjoying bands of many genres, festival goers can become a part of the performance themselves by performing on our Open-Mic Stage. Morning Yoga classes are offered on Saturday and Sunday Morning for those who are interested in getting a peaceful stretch after dancing the night away. Come one – come all, to the third annual Catskill Chill Music Festival at Camp Minglewood on September 7th, 8th & 9th 2012. Entreat your senses with the colors of fall, the sounds of great music, the feeling of freedom while you dance and move, the taste of great food and the smell of good ‘ole country air.
