Many know of Eric as 1/3 of the group Soulive and a member of The Fyre Dept production team. As a young a teenager Eric picked up the bass and later became infatuated with the guitar. People like Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page were big influences early on. In college Eric studied with the great Yusef Lateef and began recording/producing his own music. In 1999 Soulive was born and was quickly signed by Blue Note Records and began touring the world. In his carreer spanning the past 14 years Eric has worked with people like Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, The Fugees, Dave Mathews, The Rolling Stones, Norah Jones, Talib Kweli, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent, Redman, Wu-Tang Clan, The Beatnuts, The Roots, John Scofield, Joshua Redman, Derek Trucks, Robert Randolph and many others. Now with his own studio facility in Brooklyn, Eric has created his own record label and is putting out various projects including a solo album. The Eric Krasno Band is his newest formation featuring an amazing cast of musicians (members of The Dap Kings and The Warren Haynes Band) and vocals from Alecia Chakour & Krasno himself.
