Catskill Chill Music Festival has announced dates for the sixth annual event, which will take place September 18-‐20, 2015, one week later than is tradition for the three-‐day music celebration. The organizers have also announced that 2015 is the final year that Catskill Chill will take place at the much-‐loved Camp Minglewood in Hancock, New York. Due to circumstances outside of their control, the festival will find a new home for 2016.

“It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce that 2015 will mark the final year of the Catskill Chill’s glorious run at Camp Minglewood,” said festival founder Dave Marzollo. “We would keep our event at it’s original home forever if we could, but we have been informed that, for reasons beyond our control, we will no longer be able to host our family at the place we’ve come to love. The bright side is that we have one final chance to enjoy those rolling slopes of our intimate campus for one last mighty celebration -‐ The Sixth Annual Catskill Chill Music Festival: A Farewell to Minglewood! Whether you have been to every Chill, or you have always wanted to go but never made it, this will be an epic Chill chapter that you will not want to miss.

Yes, the Chill will continue after this year, and we already have a few amazing prospective new facilities to choose from, but for now let’s focus on a weekend we’ll remember forever. It will be an incredible going away party -‐ one last chance to put our arms around each other and sing our favorite lyrics in that musical sanctuary that’s become such a special part of our lives.”

Catskill Chill features free parking, free camping, on-‐site cabin rentals, daily yoga, live art, a farmer’s market, craft and food vendors, a communal bonfire nightly and an open mic. Nestled in the Catskill Mountains, where the beauty of nature synchronizes with the euphoric sounds of live music, this intimate lakeside celebration is one of the most anticipated events in the New York area and is annually expected to sell out.

Fans, aka “Chillfam”, have returned to Castkill Chill year after year for this intimate experience that delivers big name acts up close and personal and 2015 will be no different. A limited number of Blind Faith tickets will go on sale starting on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 1pm EST for $140.

Good Looks NY 2014 Catskill Chill Review

Sitting between the Catskills in the picturesque upstate New York town of Hancock, exists one of the most beautiful music festivals in the Northeast, let alone the country. In its fifth annual year, Catskill Chill has proven itself to be a gem and a staple of the tri-state festival circuit and live music scene. The three-day event took place at Camp Minglewood from September 5th-7th. The venue is magical, yet humble; when Camp Minglewood isn’t hosting The Chill, it is the home of French Woods Performing Arts Summer Camp. The cabins and set-up add a vibe that can’t be re-created by other festivals. During The Chill, it transforms into a summer camp for adults…

Jambase reviews the 2014 Catskill Chill

For the fifth anniversary of The Catskill Chill, things had switched up a bit. There were new vendors, new placements of Acoustic Junction and the addition of the Red Bull Campsite DJ truck. But make no mistake: the vibe this festival serves up year after year was unchanged. The Chill is known for its relaxed atmosphere as the ChillFam is friendly and the mantra “All Love All The Time” is not just lip service – it’s the law at Catskill Chill. The ChillFam makes the vibe, the Chill Festival provides the space. 2014 was no exception.

There was so much music served up at the Chill that I wasn’t able to see every band play. I’ve heard raves about the incredible sets that went down at the Acoustic Junction Stage, the tasty tunes and disco tracks at The Red Bull DJ Stage and once again I hear the FiKus Cabin was raging until the wee hours…
